Jane Chen is a physical theater actor, singer, and activist. She is a graduate of Yale University (Theater Studies/American Studies) and of the Dell'Arte School of Physical Theater. She founded the Homeless Theater Troupe in New Haven, CT, a group of homeless and formerly homeless people who created and performed theater based on their life experiences. She has also appeared at Carnegie Hall with the CityKids and on HBO (The Babysitters Club), NBC (Visions of America television documentary - Amy Tan segment) and PBS (In the Mix). One of her favorite quotes is: "Your silence will not protect you" – Audre Lorde.
